Atlas To Present Photostability Stress Testing Paper at Biopharmaceutical Conference

San Francisco, CA / February 15, 2006 - Allen Zielnik of Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC will present a paper on "Strategies and Technologies in Photostability Stress Testing" at the Formulation & Forced Degradation Strategies for Biopharmaceuticals Conference hosted by the Institute for International Research The paper will be presented Tuesday, March 28th at 2:00 p.m.

Photostability stress testing is a requirement for ICH Q5C. There are, however, a number of technical approaches involving various light sources with different spectral power distributions as well as light intensities. Additionally, exposure dosage may be characterized using various light measurement units. The paper will evaluate the advantages and disadvantages, as well as an explanation of the units of measurement, to allow the researcher to better understand the different approaches to satisfying Q5C (and Q1B) requirements.

Atlas is a sponsor of the Conference aimed at biopharmaceutical and drug delivery companies. A 3-day long event, the conference will take place March 27-29 2006 at the Grand Hyatt, San Francisco, CA.
