Atlas presents new product enhancements and state of the art weathering technology at the ITMA Show 2007 in Munich
The ITMA, the world largest international textile machinery exhibition, is being held in Munich from 13 to 20 September this year.
Atlas Material Testing Technology, which offers an extensive range of light fastness testing instruments designed for the textile industry, will exhibit in hall A4, booth 338.
Atlas will showcase the Ci4000 Weather-Ometer, offering an enhanced digital control system that gives operators more flexibility and control of their accelerated weathering testing. The Ci4000 meets basic textile testing standards like ISO 105-B02, B04, B06 and AATCC TM 16. One of the most notable changes is a modern, full colour TFT touch screen display with intuitive icons for easier interpretation of operating parameters and warnings. Memory capacity has been significantly increased allowing additional features and functions previously managed by external controllers. Now with a single control system, operators can be more efficient analyzing instrument performance, monitoring test parameters and performing calibration procedures.
Atlas will also exhibit the Xenotest Alpha+ for light fastness and weathering testing. The instrument simulates and accelerates the natural weathering process providing reliable results concerning the long-term behaviour of materials. With its easy to use touch screen display, reliable sensor technology and multifunctional instrument features, the Alpha+ is a universal weathering testing instrument that performs light- and weather fastness tests in accordance with basic textile testing standards and manufacturer specific test methods (Marks & Spencer). Furthermore, the Alpha+ offers the option of high energy testing, to receive test results as fast as needed.
Also presented at the show will be the SUNTEST XXL+. The SUNTEST XXL+ is a state-of-the-art, flatbed xenon exposure system to test the long-term effects that light, heat and moisture will have on products in their end-use environment. The XXL+ comes with an easy-to-use colour touch screen, and the ability to control all relevant weathering settings. The 3000 cm2 specimen tray is ideal for high volume testing, testing of components and three-dimensional parts. The XXL+ features specimen spray to test the long-term effect moisture will have on materials.
