Atlas presents the new SUNTEST XXL at the 13th International Exhibition of Chemical Industry - KHIMIA 2005 ("Chemistry" 2005) in Moscow

Linsengericht / August 1, 2005 - Moscow's leading exhibition for the Chemistry Industry, the KHIMIA ("Chemistry"), is being held between 5 and 9 September this year at the ZAO Expocentr in Moscow.

The exhibition is staged by Expocentr with assistance of Roskhimneft and official support of the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Energy, Moscow government, and Russian Union of Chemists. It is held under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

A biannual event, the KHIMIA ("Chemistry") offers scientific, technical and business circles every opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest developments in the field of chemistry and petrochemistry, establish beneficial business contacts and sign agreements and contracts.

Atlas, which provides an extensive range of weathering and light fastness testing instruments designed for the chemistry industry, will be exhibiting in Hall 2.1, booth 2.1C67.

At the KHIMIA ("Chemistry") we will introduce our newest SUNTEST XXL flatbed exposure system.

Being the largest member of the Suntest family - a line up of testing devices, considering all challenges of light exposure (covering basic needs with the compact model CPS as well as mid sized challenges by the model XLS) - the Suntest XXL will offer a large variety of testing capabilities such as:

  • 3,000 cm2 exposure area

  • Touch screen control and colour display

  • Simplified programming with up to 10 user-programmable tests, each with as many as 12 phases. Dynamic disk space allows for the storage for at least 10 pre-programmed tests

  • Real-time display of all test parameters and trend plot: irradiance, Black Standard Temperature (BST) or Black Panel Temperature (BPT) and Chamber Air Temperature (CHT)

  • Irradiance control at 300 nm - 400 nm, 340 nm, or 420 nm

  • Specimen spray (XXL+ only)

The SUNTEST XXL is perfect for screening new materials for various end use environments, for quality control on incoming materials and components, and to conduct routine testing during production.
