Lightfastness Instruments

Lightfastness can be rapidly determined using a laboratory accelerated instrument, either a water-cooled xenon lamp device, such as an Atlas Fade-Ometer® or Weather-Ometer®, or an air-cooled device, such as a Xenotest® 150 S+ or Alpha+. The xenon long arc, when properly filtered, simulates UV and visible solar radiation more closely than any other artificial light source. This assures that your test results are repeatable and reproducible. Xenon arc instruments are widely used by the textile, polymer, paint and automotive industries.

Xenotest® Alpha+
The Xenotest Alpha+ provides reproducible and repeatable test results of lightfastness and weatherability using an air-cooled xenon arc light source and the ability to perform high irradiance tests up to 3 Sun.

Xenotest® 150 S+
The Xenotest 150 S+ combines the latest in weathering testing technology, economical testing, optimum reproducibility and good correlation to natural weathering, to deliver an instrument that has helped set the standard in textiles material durability testing.

Ci3000+ Xenon Weather-Ometer®
Meets lightfastness test requirements of the textiles, printing inks, pharmaceuticals and other markets in a small but sophisticated package
