Programming of a weathering test can be straightforward in cases where the program involves only one or two phases. However, the complexity increases significantly when dealing with multiple phases and sub cycles (repeated specific phase steps) with tolerances to be programmed for each test parameter.
Errors in test programming may lead to
• producing wrong data,
• long and costly tests done in vain,
• loosing time-to-market, and
• wasting valuable R&D specimens.
Pre-Programmed Tests
For user convenience and to avoid programming errors, each Atlas weathering instrument offers a set of pre-programmed weathering tests.
Tailored to the capabilities of each instrument, the number of pre-programmed tests vary. Nonetheless, they all ensure that using our equipment is as simple as possible. Pre-programmed tests can be found
• under “Standard tests” at the start page of XENOTEST/SUNTEST instruments,
• inside the “Test Library” of Ci Weather-Ometers.
Extended Lists for XENOTEST® 220+ and 440
Good news! We've expanded the range of pre-programmed tests for both our Xenotest 220+ and 440 instruments. For the more textile-focused 220+, we have added all major textile weathering and color fastness standards:
• AATCC TM16
• M&S C9/C9A
• ISO 105-B02, B04, and B10
The more versatile XENOTEST 440 now comes with an impressive number of 15 pre-programmed tests, covering common test methods for textiles, polymers, coatings, automotive interior and exterior.
Quick Start
Apart from saving programming time, the Quick Start option comes in handy, too. Load the test chamber with your test specimens, select your test from the list, and simply press the “START" button.
